News from the Amsterdam Conference

Chaired by Norman Dolch, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Nonprofit Education (JNEL) and Leadership, 10 people attended this affinity group’s inaugural face-to-face meeting.  The group discussed publishing opportunities.  Limited time prevented the group from discussing more, but Theresa Ricke-Kiely, Executive director of the Center for the Common Good at the University of St. Thomas in the USA, offered to set up some web-based meetings to discuss the direction, goals, and activities of the group.  The first one will be in September, see details below.

Invitation to Participate in Collaborative Research

Norman Dolch (JNEL) and Julianne Gassman (University of Norther Iowa, USA) invite colleagues to collaborate on research dealing with the experiences of students in nonprofit/nongovernmental classes based on gender.  A web-based questionnaire can be provided to professors who encourage students in their classes and programs to complete the survey.  Anyone who administers the survey can share in the analysis and dissemination of the results including co-authorship of presentations or publication.   Interested persons should contact Julianne Gassman at julianne.gassman@uni.edu.
