About the Centre
Established in 2004 under the Project on Non Profit Sector, the centre's mission is to undertake and promote interdesciplinary studies and research in the domain of civil society. The Centre has a Coordination Committee comprising of senior faculty drawn from different desciplines.
Major study programs
TSRRC concevied the Master of Non Profit Management (MNPM) programme which is currently offered as a University Master's programme run by Vivekananda Institute of Leadership Development (a leading NGO) under an MOU with the University of Mysore. TSRRC is involved in teaching and evaluation work of MNPM course.
Major Projects
- A cross country project on Asia's Third Sector: Governance for Accountability and Performance - funded by the Ford Foundation and coordinated by the University of Technology, Sydney
- Asia Pacific Philanthropy Network Project - of devising and updating the section on Indian Third Sector for the website of Asia Pacific Philanthropy Consortium
- Survey on Market Potential for Low Cost Medicines with a focus on Charitable and Non Profit hospitals - a project funded by Supraja Foundation, Hongkong
