About the Center
The Center for the Third Sector (CTS) was established in December 2002, serving as a non-profit organization (NPO) professional research platform. CTS is meant for a research-centered think tank, providing professional consulting and research exchange for all walks. Further, CTS has established a platform for mutual cooperation among NPOs, academics, public sectors and private sectors, with the hope to enhance the development of the Third Sector and the growth of civil society in our world.
Holding the view of “Global Family”, CTS seeks to combine the theories and practices on the Third Sector, marching toward the way of cultural, human and social reinventing. CTS intends to provide a domestic forum for issue advocacy, education/training, and policy consulting. Moreover, CTS is designed as the vehicle for international interaction among the third sectors. We have a strong connection within the Asia-Pacific region, and wish to collaborate with your organization in order to maximize human and ecological benefits for our world.
CTS has two significant visions. First, CTS will develop toward a platform for development, education and cultivation. Secondly, we will promote the interaction among the academics, the government and private sectors. As a whole, CTS's vision lies in enhancing the accountability, effectiveness and substantial development of the Third Sector, further providing more high-quality public service. CTS also makes efforts to enhance the excellence in the studies on the Third Sector, helping lift Taiwan's international academic position, and make our country a pivot of research on the Third Sector in Asia-Pacific region.
We welcome all of you who are interested in the improvements of the Third Sector to join us. Please visit our site, and feel free to contact us.
