Call for Contributions to Upcoming ISTRAN Newsletters
The International Society for Third Sector Research Africa Network (ISTRAN) is a community of scholars, practitioners and policy makers who share an interest in and concern for civil society organisations (CSOs), the form they take, their role and how they function on the African content. Network members only have the opportunity to meet at the biennial regional conference and sometimes at the international ISTR conference, which also takes place every other year. As a result, they have few opportunities to share information and be updated on developments in the field.
The purpose of the ISTRAN newsletter, among others, is to try and address this shortcoming by providing a more frequent platform for members to share their opinions and research. It is also a platform for members to share and receive information about CSO related developments, relevant research, new and/or interesting publications as well as available opportunities.
The ISTRAN steering committee, therefore, invites you to contribute to the upcoming October and December newsletters.
The contribution articles submitted should cover topics related to CSOs. The topics need not be limited to Africa but, relevant international topics are also welcomed. All submitted articles must be submitted with a portrait photograph of the author.
They may include:
Articles, which are in-depth discussions of topics of interest.
News items and announcements such as:
Relevant calls for papers for special issues and conferences
Conference and workshop report
Reviews of publications
New research projects
All articles which are selected for publication will be proofread for content, spelling and grammatical errors by a professional editor.
Articles - 1000 to 1500 words
News items – 50 to 200 words
The deadlines for contributions are the 15 September 2016 for the October edition and 1 November 2016 for the December edition. Submissions can be emailed to DineoSeabe at firstname.lastname@example.org.
