New Researchers sessions Call for Papers -2015 Voluntary Sector and Volunteering Research Conference
Tuesday, May 5, 2015
Are you new to voluntary sector research? Do you want to showcase your work in a supportive environment and receive feedback from established researchers?
Then the New Researchers Sessions at the Annual Voluntary Sector and Volunteering Research Conference could be for you! This two day event runs from 8-9 September at Leeds Beckett University. Feedback from past years has been really positive with people saying that ‘it was great! What also worked well was having ‘skills/education’ speakers sprinkled through the event’ and ‘I really enjoyed it – there’s no voluntary sector researchers in my department and so this is a great opportunity to network and get feedback from experts in the field’.
If that doesn’t convince you, we also award a prize for the best paper by a New Researcher. Last year this was won by Jakub Dostál and Marek Vyskočil for their paper, ‘Intervals: addressing misleading methods of measuring the economic value of volunteering’.
We do have a limited number of bursaries to cover the small conference fee.
The deadline for abstracts is on 8 June 2015.
