Fascinating International Opportunities in Public Administration

1. KENYA: New Constitution; New Opportunities for Citizens

Under Moi, human rights activists were jailed and tortured.

Those same activists are the ones who have pushed for and gotten a new constitution which devolves power from Nairobi and the president to local government.

This shift is absolutely earth shaking as it means the demise of the African despot.

But the problem is: Kenyan universities train in political science but not public administration.

Kenya does not have a cadre of people that can govern at the local level. Come help with trainings all over Kenya!

Never before have citizens had the opportunity to have such a voice in matters that effect their daily life.

But this opportunity will be squandered unless average citizens understand the import of these changes.

Come help with trainings about how this new Constitution empowers citizens and local governments.

2. COSTA RICA: Learning to Lead by Laughing

Our micro-finance program in Costa Rica is lead by one of the most hilarious directors I have ever seen!

She always has her staff in stitches, and thus willing to do anything to help the team.

Come learn about leadership from one of the best. Spanish fluency a must.

3. UGANDA: Community Organizing

This stellar organization in Uganda does amazing work with having communities assess their strengths and needs, and map out how the community, together, can achieve their goals. Come help with this true empowerment.

4. Fund Raising and Grant Writing

On this last year's Whirlwind Tour of Africa, every organization asked for help with grant writing and fund raising.

We have already launched some ways of raising money based on building enterprises that generate money - "hand ups vs hand outs." e.g. One domestic violence program will have 3,000 laying hens that will pay 3 salaries!

But if you have a talent for pulling in money, then we can discuss which program most needs your help.
