NCVO/VSSN/IVR Voluntary Sector and Volunteering Research Conference 2013 – Bookings now open

The 19th annual two day research conference will bring together practitioners, academics and policy makers to discuss the research they have undertaken or are currently carrying out.  The conference is an opportunity for anyone interested in voluntary sector research to network, find support and advice, and develop their research.  This year the conference will take place on the 10 and 11 September 2013 at Sheffield Hallam University.

What will I get from this conference?

·        An opening plenary session from Professor Marilyn Taylor, Emeritus Professor, University of West of England  and Chair of Institute for Volunteering Research advisory group

·        An excellent opportunity to find out about new research on the voluntary sector through seminars and panel sessions

·        Plenty of time to network with other colleagues from the voluntary sector research community

·        A chance to share your experiences of voluntary sector research and to discuss your ideas with others.

Read this year’s conference programme. Please note this may still be subject to change.

As part of the main conference, a parallel New Researchers Session is run to give those who are relatively new to voluntary sector research an opportunity to present their work to peers in a more relaxed environment. The session also has guest speakers on a range of topics relating to research in the voluntary sector. If you would like more information, please contact matthew.hill@ivr.org.uk .

Who should attend the conference?

If you are interested in voluntary sector research, then this is the conference for you!  The conference aims to bring people together from all backgrounds to discuss research, so we welcome practitioners, academics, policy makers and anyone else who wants to share their ideas about voluntary sector research.
