Call for Papers on workshop Research “Changes in Civil Society and Philanthropy: Patterns of Civic Engagement in the 21st Century”
The Center for the study of Civil Society and Philanthropy in Israel will hold an international conference on Tuesday-Wednesday, March 10-11th, 2015 at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, Mt. Scopus campus. The conference program and further details will be posted on the centers' website
On Tuesday, 10.3.2015, a pre-conference workshop on civil society and philanthropy will be held for scholars and research students from Israel and abroad. The workshop will be lead by Prof. Mark Warren of the University of British Columbia, Canada, an expert on civil society and philanthropy. The conference will take place on Wednesday, 11.3.2015 at the Hebrew University.
The purpose of the workshop is to create a research forum for scholars studying civil society and philanthropy, who will meet from time to time in order to present and discuss the current research in those fields. Scholars, Post docs, and postgraduate students in advance stages are welcome to present their research on civil society and philanthropy and participate in the workshop.
Abstract submission deadline: January 15th, 2015. Abstracts should be submitted with a cover page including the research title, presenters' names, institutional affiliation, degree and full contact details for each presenter.
Please submit abstracts of up to 400 words, font Calibri size 12, 1.5 space with the following information: 1. Research goals, scientific and empirical contribution. 2. Theoretical and conceptual overview 3. Methodology 4. Findings (if applicable)
Abstracts should be sent to: email@example.com as word.doc. Confirmation of the submission will be sent by e-mail. . If accepted, the abstract will be published in the conference booklet. Acceptance letters will be sent by 1.2.2015. Registration and payment deadline – 15.2.2015.
