Membership in ISTR
We also invite you to become a member of ISTR for 2010/2011 and help the Society achieve its mission of increasing, sharing and applying knowledge about the Third Sector in all countries of the world. Your membership is the best way to stay informed about the sector through our range of services and activities. It is an investment to advance your career and professional interests.
ISTR's interdisciplinary journal, Voluntas, the International Journal of Voluntary and Non-Profit Organizations, publishes articles that introduce new topics and reviews for discussion, presents theoretical and empirical work, and provides critical commentary on research and policy. All ISTR members will receive the journal online and will be given an option to also receive it in print. Our on-line Membership Directory provides member contact information and includes research interests and activities, and recent publications. In addition, a quarterly newsletter, Inside ISTR, and occasional issues of ISTR Report, provide information about research and events as well as highlighting thematic and regional Third Sector topics of interest. Regional networks provide a meeting place for researchers in various regions of the world to meet and discuss subjects and issues relevant to their region.
Reduced registration fees for biennial conferences is also a benefit of membership. By joining ISTR now, you will save significantly for the Istanbul Conference. Membership registration forms can be found at www.istr.org/members. If you are not already an ISTR member, join now and include your membership registration form with your conference registration! Your membership is vital for your personal development and for continuing international visibility and credibility of the Third Sector as a respected field of research, education and policy making.
